How do I remove my UK mobile number from mobile directory enquiries service? I don't want companies to find my number in case I get cold calls/spam texts

Have the UK Mobile companys sold us out to 118? I don't want people knowing my mobile number, have all different networks sold our numbers to directory enquiry's or just Vodafone or Orange . I am trying to trace a private landlord (uk answers please)? I know their name but directory enquiries only comes up with the address that is being rented out!!! This is including the Electoral Register for this year. Any ideas?

Best way to advertise small piece of land with planning permission? My mum and dad are trying to sell a small piece of land with full planning permission for a bungalow. The planning runs out in a year and they are starting to panic that it wont get sold with this credit crunch. I've put the land on the UK land directory and we've had a few enquiries-does anyone know or have any ideas for other ways to advertise this land? Thanks in advance!

Is there a site where i can look up phone numbers, codes, only UK PLease? I have had several calls which when you ring back is either an unobtainable tone, or just rings no answer. One yesterday was an 004087545413 number, no idea even where this is, i did call it from my mobile, but it gave an unobtainable tone. I don't want to phone directory enquiries because of the cost. Is there a website i can look at. Its getting to annoy me, they might be scams for all i know but at least i would like to try and find out who keeps calling. I actually thought it was somewhere in US, tried Yell. com nothing, and so i have resorted to asking my ISP I am ex directory, and my number is withheld permanently, so don't know how they get through. Im paranoid because i have had very nasty calls before and so any that are suspicious i try and locate.

need help finding my brother in france its urgent. his mother is really ill? i need to find my brother in brittany france tried to ring him and the number i had has come up not recognised. this is very urgent as his mother is seriously ill. i phoned international directory enquiries and they couldnt find his number. he has a rare surname and has always said that he will always be in the phone book. does anyone have any ideas or maybe ive just rang the wrong directory number. so if anyone has any international directory enquiries numbers for the uk please can you let me know what they are. been trying to remember his email address but had a new comp and lost his other one when my old comp broke. i remember the first part and that it was a tiscali address but cant remember the way tiscali french emails look at the end. he is a british citizen tried the french version online of white pages but with no luck

Any Sites...? I need to find a telephone number for the house I am living in next year in order to get internet and I can't get hold of the landlord. I know the address of the house and have been searching for the phone number on directory enquiry sites but because they all ask for the name of the household inhabitor the searches keep coming up a blank. Is there an internet site that will find me my phone number that will only ask for the address of the house and not for a name as well? I am in the UK.
